Our Activities

What’s On at Otford Evangelical

We organise a number of events for our community. On this page you will find details of our regular weekly activities, as well as other church events that we organise from time to time.

Most of our events take place at our church building on Pilgrims Way West. You can find directions and further details here.

We’d love for you to join us – and of course, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Regular Weekly Activities

We meet each Sunday at 11am and 6.30pm for worship and to listen to the preaching of God’s Word.

Our Pastor, Kevin, generally preaches systematically through a book of the Bible.

In the morning there is a Creche and Sunday School for children of Primary School age.

Twice a month we celebrate Communion, a service for believers to participate in, but all are invited to observe.

On the evening of the last Sunday of the month we meet together for food and fellowship after the evening service.

To find out more about what to expect from our Sunday meetings, visit the ‘Sundays’ page.

This Sunday (2nd March)

Morning Preacher: Kevin Bracken
Strange Meeting on Straight Street. Acts 9: 1 0-25.

Evening Preacher: Kevin Bracken
On the Home Straight. 2 Timothy 4: 6-8.

In the Week

Tuesday (during term time)
Ladies’ Meeting – 2.15pm-3.30pm at the church

Every Tuesday afternoon, the ladies meet for a time of fellowship.

Our mixed programme includes speakers bringing a message from God’s Word, sharing their testimony, or sharing updates from Missionaries we support. Sometimes we have a craft activity or even the occasional outing. Each term ends with a Fellowship lunch with the ladies each inviting guests from the local community.

Bible Study and Prayer – 7.45pm-9pm at the church

We meet for prayer and a Bible study every Wednesday evening. This is usually led by our Pastor or Elder with occasional visits from a Missionary or Missionary Society.

Friday (during term time)
Come and Play – 9.15am-11.15am in the church hall

Every Friday we host ‘Come and Play’ – a fun group for babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers… and their carers!

In our church hall you will find lots of fun play activities, including painting, playdough, trains, puzzles, books, roleplay and construction. Each session has a theme and includes lots of opportunities for grown-ups to try out all the activities with their children. You will be able to join together in a big group to sing your favourite songs and rhymes and listen to stories from the Bible.

We provide healthy snacks for the children and coffee and cake for the grown-ups to enjoy. The morning will finish with an adult led craft activity that will remind everyone what they have been learning about.
